tawkon / making cellular phone radiation manageable
smile and talk on
keep on talking. safely.
multi-platform app traction. by design
tawkon selected nascent to characterize and design their flagship iPhone application. Built to monitor radiation emitted from the phone in real time, the team's deep engineering capabilities enable users to make smart, educated decisions about how to keep ‘talking on’. Their goal: minimize the risks associated with unmonitored mobile phone radiation.
challenge
Create a first of its kind application, with an interface that communicates clear value to users in seconds and looks good enough to go viral.
result: making noise
Featured in Techcrunch, The Washington Post, The Financial Times, The New York Times, Reuters, and the Wall St. Journal, tawkon has captured the attention of concerned mobile phone users worldwide. Apple however, rejected the application and subsequently spurred a wave of rebellion within the media. Despite Apple’s stance, tawkon has continued to work with nascent and has subsequently released versions for Blackberry and Android, securing tens of thousands of downloads.testimonial
We selected nascent as our GUI design partner, after assessing several leading GUI firms.
nascent brought a unique set of capabilities to the table and we felt that they had the drive, expertise and
innovation capabilities we were looking for.
Beyond designing a smart, cutting edge
GUI, they provided us with valuable insights including redefining the core
user perspective of the application, the application feature set and more.
Working with them was a seamless experience.
Today we consider them an invaluable part of our team.
